So, you just ran to your computer after yesterday’s Apple iTunes event and downloaded thw shiny new iTunes 9 from Software Update. You’ve got your iPhone or iPod Touch in hand and you’re ready to start playing around and organizing your apps.

You may want to stop for a second first. If your iPhone is jailbroken – you won’t be able to use this feature. You have to upgrade your phone to iTunes 3.1 first.

The springboard (the app that manages displays your home screen and dock) utilizes special commands to communicate with iTunes. In pre-3.1 versions of the iPhone OS, there are no commands to support the app icon movement.

So if you want this feature to work, upgrade to iPhone OS 3.1. But, you will no longer be jailbroken and unlocked.

If you’re using WordPress as the content manager for your software project, you definitely need to check out WPMantisTable. This is an open source project that I am contributing to the WordPress and Mantis BT communities. Currently at version 0.1, the plugin for WordPress makes a call to your Mantis Bug Tracker, and inserts a table into your posts with currently open/resolved tickets. More features to come, but after much looking around to find and already existing plugin, I found that I had to write my own.

If you like what you’re seeing, consider a donation. Issues can be reported at our Mantis tracker. Otherwise, see more information by visiting the WP Mantis Table page.
